Community Health

SWLAHEC’s Community Health Department focuses on studying, protecting, and improving health within Southwest Louisiana.  We do this by facilitating local groups working together to prevent disease and make healthy living options accessible.  Our vision is to reduce health gaps caused by differences in income, education, race and ethnicity, location and other factors that can affect the health of our residents.
